Lorna Ritchie, a child of seventies Britain with strong Irish roots, has lived in Berlin for nearly 40 years and works as a certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a mediator, facilitator and business coach.

Godfrey Spencer, born in 1940 in wartime Britain, Godfrey studied at the University of Cambridge before being hired by IBM Europe. From IBM he moved to become a senior bilingual interpreter at NATO. He still works as a certified NVC trainer, consultant and mediator, who began his career in NVC interpreting for the movement’s founder Marshall Rosenberg.


Both authors are believers in the transformational power of empathy and unconditional love.
